During his junior year at Northeastern his roommate got arrested for drunken and disorderly conduct and assaulting an officer at an off campus party. Since his roommates family live in another state it wasn't easy for them to help him settle things. Since his father worked in the bail bonds system Shane knew exactly what to do.
After the incident with his roommate Shane decided he was going to change his major. Although he loved study the human mind he found it more rewarding to help other people. From that point on he studied criminal justice.
