Two Ways to Increase Ability to Tolerate Things

By Antonio Dannes

No human being is perfect. No one is born with the ability to do all things. An example is Michael Jordan; while he played exceptional basketball, he struggled with other things. His mere presence on the basketball court elevated his team, even before his basketball leadership kicked into high gear. He was able to make the playoffs each year of his career. However, when MJ decided to pick up a baseball bat, the world witness a man once called, "God in basketball shoes," struggling to get on base. As the owner and chief of operations of the Charlotte Bobcats, Michael again is finding it difficult to make an imprint. This is where we should all learn about tolerance. It is because we all bring different things to the table.

There are two main textures that will cause you to make changes in your life and business. The first is this; intolerance is an appearance of unawareness. Mastering intolerance must take place before any form of permanent triumph can be reached. Intolerance is the main ingredient for disparity, fights, and even wars. We will create enemies in our professions as well as in business because of it. Intolerance deteriorates organized society by pushing away reason and this leads to havoc and devastation.

The second feature is that intolerance is the main crumbling force in the organized world of government, business, and religion. These great entities meant to bring good to the world, are broken up and made into havoc. Anything that is meant to improve society but is offset and impedes its progress will also stand in the way of individual advancement as well. This is why it is vital for you, the individual, to expand your tolerance level.

The idea of this may strike a cord with you, but the 'how to do this' is always the more difficult assignment. I will not offer you the Nike slogan as that gets people no where. Here I can offer a plan. Remember Michael Jordan; on the basketball court he was Mr. Dominant. This meant he had to deal with men on his team who were Mr. Average and even Mr. Below-Average. How does one do this? The way I've found and others have found success is to always place oneself in the shoes or situation of the other. It is a fact that going through what another person is going through will help understand their position and situation better.

The subsequent tad of order is to present full cooperation. Arguments and disagreement stem from people's desire to take an advantage over another. They wish to do this at the other person's expense. This is like recruiting people into your MLM business solely to have them build your business. If you abandon all efforts to be helpful, and encouraging, and offer leadership to cultivate them, then you are acting in a selfish manner and without reason. Instead you should identify their strengths and weaknesses and devise a plan to help them bring the best results for their business and yours. This way you will have better cooperation and establish accountability.

It needs to be understood that I am not crying for you to take beatings for the sake of tolerance. That in itself is a separate dominion. This is to simply expand your tolerance of unique situations in your life and business that will help propel you to lasting success. Avoid ignorance and the crumbling force behind the world, thus behind your business. Exercise patience and understanding by placing yourself in the shoes of your teammates, your up-lines, and mentors and mentees so that you broaden and become the MLM success you are aiming to be. It will rub onto your life in all areas.
