Places where printed banners can be found

By Chris Phelps

There are a number of different purposes that printed banners can be put to, but most have something to do with advertising or marketing. Many companies now rely on printed banners as a key part of their marketing strategy.

Exhibitions, conventions and trade shows are all places where printed banners are commonly used. If they are well designed, these banners can be highly effective at attracting the attention of event attendees and drawing them towards your stand or stall.

In order to attract the maximum amount of attention in an exhibition or convention environment, it is very important that a lot of thought goes into the design of your printed banners. Make them bright, bold and eye-catching, and they will stand out from the many competing stalls and stands you are likely to be surrounded by.

At the launch of a new product, or a service, you may find vinyl or PVC banners. Shop owners may also use printed banners to let their customers know about a big sale event, or to mark the grand opening of a new store or venue.

Banners also feature prominently as part of pop-up shops, restaurants and bars, which is a new trend often seen in big cities or on high streets in town centres. These appear sometimes just for a few weeks, often around Christmastime, so they could easily be missed by busy shoppers and passers-by. With the help of an attention-grabbing printed banner or two, however, they often end up being very popular.

Lastly, you are likely to encounter printed banners at public events, such as sports or charity events, for example. You may also see them at stadiums, along marathon routes and even near to the sites of world-record attempts. During these events, printed banners not only give important information to large numbers of people; they also do a lot to help celebrate the event itself.
