How To Find Your Target Market

It's All a Waste of Time Unless You Find Your Target Market

No matter what type of marketing you do, it is just a waste of time and effort unless you pay attention to how to find your target market. As for me, I get most of my prospects with article marketing, so target market research is something I have had a lot of experience with.

Find Your Target Market by Asking Yourself....

First, you have to go to your brain for a moment and say, "Now Brain, what would I be looking for if I were in this circumstances?" For example, assume you sell Amway and have a tremendous online strategy you would love to market. So your brain might answer with "increase Amway sales", or Amway marketing". As a matter of fact, if your method will assist in boosting sales with any organization like Amway, it does not even matter whether or not you represent Amway yourself. You can still choose that target market.

Simplify the Niche Once You Find Your Target Market.

Most people when they first start this course believe that the broader the category, the greater number of people will be intrigued. I know that on face value it does not seem to make sense, but actually, you will get more folks interested in your information when you promote to a smaller category. As an archetype, I recently sent a broadcast email to my list, greatest numberf of whom I have from their interest in internet promoting. My subject line "how to increase internet sales" got only a 6% open rate, and one click. But the email with the subject "how to achieve Amway benefits through marketing online" got an 11% open rate 10 clicks (5%)! I did not even realize that there were that many people on my list in Amway! However here's what you need to ask yourself: "Brain, would I be more determined to open an email about my own business or just a general email that addresses everyone"? And your brain will reply, "I'd feel that an email about my own company would speak to me personally, hence Yes.. almost certainly about my own company!"

Find Your Target Market With The Target Market Keyword Research Technique

So now you've your chosen target market, but the next thing you need to do is find out if anyone is surfing for that particular phrase. I take advantage of the Google research tool, which is free at adwords.google.com. You'll have use the keyword research tool function on that site. Simply type in your elected keyword phrase tofind out how many folks are surfing on Google for that phrase. So now you possess the tool in front of you and you type in "increase Amway sales". But low and behold, there are no searches for that phrase! Nevertheless scroll down, and the system will reveal to you alternate suggestions. Click on the competition tab so that "low competition" appears first. Now you see that you can use a target audience around the keyword phrase "selling Amway" which gets 2400 searches monthly! As an accepted rule, the longer the keyword phrase, the simpler it is to rank on Google.

Here is another influential truth to consider when you determine your target market...

Do not exclude certain audiences when you "find your target market". Assume you have a product that's approved to regrow hair. You would believe, "wow, I know tons of bald people could use this product!" Nevertheless, the people who "could use" your product are not necessarily the guys who would intrigued in buying your product. The facts as a matter of fact reveal that the folks who are utilizing hair regrowth products are the people who are disturbed with keeping the hair they possess! And look at all your health and wellness products. Who's buying them? Fat people who exist on Junk food and hotdogs? No! It's by and large the health nuts that are presently fit and already buying tons of healthy stuff. It's actually easier to pitch your brand to an audience who has already shown that they are interested in this stuff on account of they have presently purchased goods like it!

Just keep in mind these four fundamental principles when you find your target market.

1) Promote to a limited number of people.

2) Try to answer the needs of those folks.

3) Answer their problems.

4) Appeal to their emotions and make them feel marvelous.

Once you get going, the more target market ideas you think of, the more will come to you.
