I have been trading for over twelve years so I'd consider myself a veteran trader. Over the years I have traded with a number of forex brokers around the world, some good and some bad. After trying in excess of 16 different fx brokers I have at last settled on Australia's biggest True ECN forex provider IC Markets.
Over the last three years trading with IC Markets I have not had too many problems, dealing with IC markets continues to be a delight. On the list of the massive benefits of dealing with IC Markets is that they take deposits in 8 different foreign currencies AUD, USD, CHF, JPY, EUR, HKD, NZD and GBP. Having the ability to fund my main trading account and secondary accounts in different foreign currencies apart from USD which the majority of fx brokers offer means that I don't have to deal with currency risk on my cash, the only real risks that I have got to deal with are those bought about through my fx trading, this can be easily be managed with stop loss orders.
An additional great thing about IC Markets is the fact that they also allow you to create as many trading accounts as you please, I make the most of this allot as I like to setup my EAs on separate trading accounts with a small balance for testing purposes. Most fx brokers will not allow you to generate in excess of 3 trading accounts but IC Markets lets me have as many as I require.
It's also really good that IC Markets permit me to fund my trading account using Moneybookers. I occasionally use Moneybookers as a backup as it's an extremely fast way of sending money, a great deal faster than a wire transfer. As well as Moneybookers they also provide credit card, Wire Transfer, Neteller and Webmoney so you never really have any issues funding your forex account.
I mostly trade using EA's this is actually how I got onto IC Markets in the first place. They're the preferred broker for many Expert Advisor vendors as their spreads are razor tight making them great for scalpers like me. I've setup my IC Markets Metatrader 4 platform on a CNS VPS in New York, CNS have in place a cross connect to the Equinix NY4 data center in New York which is where IC Markets house their servers. As there's a fibre optic cross connect in place the trade speed attainable from my CNS VPS to NY4 is less than one millisecond.
Needless to say regulation is also very imperative. IC Markets is regulated by ASIC in Australia. ASIC is one of the top regulators in the world and are known to have extremely strict compliance procedures. I have dealt with offshore unregulated brokers in the past and have had problems so I'm extremely pleased that IC Markets is regulated by ASIC in Australia.
Other than forex on their Metatrader 4 trading platform they also have Index CFDs and Futures. Even though I do not trade Indices much whatsoever it's handy to have them on my platform. I generally use the graphs of the Indices to help me to decide the direction of certain currency pairs.

About the Author:
IC Markets really are a great forex provider and to tell you the truth none of the forex brokers that I've ever dealt with have nearly as good customer service as they do. Their customer support is excellent and together with their unbelievable True ECN prices makes them my broker of choice.
