Anyone not paying close attention is in danger of getting lost in the online market place. Those days when a website and online transaction facilities were seen as the epitome of sophistication are long gone and online businesspeople are faced with a vast array of tools, techniques and methods to further their own businesses and to reach more clients. The most successful online entrepreneurs use various tools in conjunction with each other rather than employing separate strategies, each with its own objectives. The use of a custom landing page is an important technique, but it should be part of a larger marketing strategy.

Online marketers endeavor to have some type of presence in numerous locations. This presence may take the form of banners, articles, reviews or even blog entries. When the user follows the link, he should be directed to a page that will be relevant to the message contained in the original link. Routing a user to the home page of a website is simply not good enough and will not motivate the user to browse until the relevant information is found.

There can be little doubt that the elasticity of a lead capture page is one of its main benefits. The content displayed to the user can vary according to the criteria and route the user employed to reach the specific page. In this way, then, users get information that is one hundred percent relevant and it is much more likely that the lead thus created will result in real business.

The ability to build up a database showing the popularity and relevance of the various pages of a website is another important advantage. An integrated marketing strategy will allow for visitors landing on different pages, depending on the link that was followed. By keeping statistics, entrepreneurs are able to assess the efficiency of the various pages in their websites. Relevant changes can therefore be made, not based on intuition, but on a basis of solid fact.

The reason why so many lead capturing pages do not deliver the desired results is that so many people still confuse the very important difference between tools and the application of those tools. There are many tools available to create a Custom landing page, but the mere mastering of these tools is of no significance if the message, the content, of the page is not well thought out and professionally presented.

Shrewd entrepreneurs understand the essence of effective marketing. A marketing plan simply will not work if it consists of a series of advertising campaigns that may or may not yield the desired results. Such a plan has to be well thought out and it must utilize all the various marketing tools available today, including a well designed custom landing page component.
